Wow. Every time I visit Robin Lee Hatcher's diary she always seems to have the answer for me.
This goes out to someone who means a lot to me, someone to whom I'd give the world to.
Please don't push me away. Just a while ago I saw you as a bright and happy person, and the next, I'm trying to make you feel all right. I don't want to be pushed away when you're in pain. I know how that certain someone gets on your nerves, so ignore it. It bothers me too. The thing that bothers me most is that you may think that I don't care.
I do care. I can feel your distress. All this time we've been together and to me it seems like I'm just thrown into the background. You know I understand you most. Though I may not know all the right things to say, I want you to know that I will always be there. Don't you know how much I care for you? There is no other way for me to talk to you this way. You know I can't talk to you face to face because you are too stubborn to listen to me. I know I'm stubborn too.
I know I may have not tried my best to comfort you the best I could, but I did so because I know it's best to leave you alone. I want you to calm down and slowly let that sorrow and anger to filter away from your mind. Don't let your emotions run wild.
You and I both know that life can be that way. Just don't leave me out of yours. You go on not caring, and stepping farther away from me. I can let you go like a mother to her child, but please be aware that only I know how to soothe your pain and help you through. Maybe it's because you've been taking care of me yourself that you don't see that I can take care of you too.
I can lift you up high and you can say that you made it on your own. That's how I can be, if you want me to. At least just let me help you, know that I am always willing to be there for you. Don't think that no one else cares, because you know I've been there too. If you let me past the anger and the attitude, don't try to put up that wall, because I will come pounding through.
I don't want to be left behind, but I want you to at least help you the best I can. So I know that I've done something right.
All that kind of love you know I have for you only.
